scout robot (personal work)

He's kinda cute, isn't he?*haha*
Honestly, I'm really interested in AI now and in the future - someday we probably won't be able to distinguish between man and machine; e.g. the movie "AI" by Steven Spielberg, "I Robot", etc. shows some basic approaches on this. Computers will search for individuality and for personality or man will give them one. Because that's how we work.

Bla bla ... anyway ...
I couldn't resist making him wear a Pusheen shirt because I'm a really big fan of this fat cat :3
Of course I got the permission to use this design from the original Pusheen creator. Please visit for more info - you'll love it!

Oh well, about the cans ... it's some kind of Energy Drink and it's called "Kusanagi's C-Bomb in the Shell" ;)

this reminds me of the trailer for a movie i never saw come out. The trailer was something about a scientist that had developed a new robot type intended to be a soldier or assassin or something of the like. The video featured audio overlay about the project's lead scientist talking about the robot and the existence of the soul, alternating with dialogue of some military muckity-muck going on about how the robot had gone rogue, and between some kind of doctor type talking about the recent death of the project's lead scientist.

as for the video itself, it was kind of a parkour-looking deal with a man wearing a heavy sweatshirt with a hood running from a pursuit force with men with heavy boots and dogs if memory serves.

The implication was that the lead scientist, whose health had been failing, dubbed his consciousness into the "most advanced robot body ever built" so as to prolong his life.

Kind of reminded me a bit of the Batman Beyond episode Zeta (and the TV Show spin off, Zeta Project)

On a note about the artwork, i really like the style! the big round eyes make it look curious and alive, while the lighted parts that are where the eyebrows are remind me of the fox eyebrows in japanese folklore drawings. The placement of the "eyebrows", coupled with the square-ish jaw and "ears" give it a kind of "grumpy old man" expression on the face. these added to the thin, clockwork body with heavy clothing make it feel very lifelike.

I also like the cat on the apron/shirt
